COBie Integration

COBie Integration

COBie stands for the Construction Operations Building Information Exchange, and It is an international standard for the exchange of information on buildings. COBie is a great step in moving building information from paper to online. This is because COBie 's main objective is to replace home-grown exchange templates and point solutions with a lifecycle of digital information management in buildings. Therefore, COBie 's basic principles are:

  • Classification-The use of a classification system is one of the key principles for COBie-although no specific system is specified, it is up to the project owner to determine which classification system he uses. The point of using a classification system is that it helps users navigate information that helps owners and projects to familiarize themselves.
  • Data Model- COBie is aligned with the data model BuildingSMART, which means that COBie shares best practices in the industry. This makes it easier to integrate with other construction and design tools and makes COBie a definition of the IFC data model from the model view.
  • Format-The data contained in COBie allows the user to choose from various delivery formats, including the delivery of data collection based on a table. The beauty of this format is that it enables participation in an openBIM workload without the need to know the IFC data model or a specific BIM tool.

To achieve better coordination between engineers, design companies, architectural consultants and each individual stakeholder, we provide COBie modeling for building design and construction planning. We work with our global customers as a complete BIM service provider and deliver 3D models according to BIM standards globally.
